Admissions Procedures:
The Center School is a private, non-profit school for students with disabilities, approved by the State of New Jersey. Most Center School students are placed directly from their local school districts. All students have individual education plans (IEP). Our academic and behavior support programs are designed with the needs of each child in mind. Applications for students are accepted throughout the year. The Center School is not an appropriate placement for students whose disability manifests in aggressive or destructive behaviors.
Application Steps: ​

Referral from the child study team, parents, and/or private educational consultants.

A review of clinical records and evaluations.

An interview and informal screening of the applicant.

An interview of the parents/guardians by a school social worker.

Discussion of screening results with the parents and case manager.

Placement decision.
