The mission of The Center School Foundation Scholarship is to empower and enable high schools students with disabilities to (a) go to college, (b) realize the impact their contributions can make on their community, and (c) target a career in an industry where they will thrive in their community. A primary goal of this scholarship is to increase the pool of persons living with a disability, who enroll in higher education and, in the long term, decrease the unemployment bias for this demographic.
This scholarship will identify promising high school seniors who have potential to enter and successfully complete a college program. The amount of this non-renewable scholarship to be awarded is $1000, to five (5) New Jersey applicants. These scholarships are paid through The Center School Foundation to the recipient’s school’s Financial Aid Office.
All candidates must be high school senior students, classified with an IEP, who plan to attend a 2 to 4 year University or College. Each applicant who is awarded a scholarship is required to submit a copy of their acceptance letter.
