Center School Robotics Lego League team tournament

Bridgewater – The Center School Robotics Lego League team had an exciting first tournament on Saturday.  They competed in three rounds against 19 teams, finished 15th and were excited when they received the INSPIRATION AWARD.  The students displayed tremendous team effort in both the interview and the competition phase.  It was a great learning experience for the students involved in this tournament.

FIRST Lego League introduces elementary and middle school students to real-world engineering challenges by building LEGO-based robots to complete tasks on a thematic playing surface.  In addition to building, they apply real-world math and science concepts, research challenges facing today’s scientists, learn critical thinking, team-building and presentation skills – all skills that will last a lifetime.
